Route 3 at The South Street Bridge

On December 4, 2006 Hanover Ambulance 1 responded mutual aid to Norwell, Route 3 South Bound at the South Street overpass for a motor vehicle crash.  Hanover Ambulance 1 and Car 2 responded to find a single vehicle MVC rollover.  The vehicle was an SUV traveling South when it struck the guard rail and rolled over numerous times before it came to rest down an embankment beside the highway.  The vehicle sustained major damage.  Hanover Rescue 1 was requested to the scene for additional manpower and joined Norwell Fire Rescue 1 and Engine 2 and the Massachusetts State Police already on the scene.  The single occupant was transported to South Shore Hospital by Hanover A1 with life-threatening injuries. 

Hanover & Norwell Firefighters and Massachusetts State Police Troopers work together to extricate the single occupant to the awaiting Hanover Ambulance.
